What is the Arab Water Week?
The Arab Water Week is a high-profile international and regional event promoted to attract decision makers and water management practitioners and professional organizations internationally and in the MENA region. It will be firstly launched in Amman, Jordan and organized by the Arab Countries Water Utilities Association (ACWUA) in partnership with the Arab Ministerial Water Council (AMWC) and the Jordanian Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MWI). Why to attend the Arab Water Week?
The Arab Water Week is an important and distinctive opportunity for water and wastewater management community in the Arab world and MENA region, it is the point where water management professionals, private sector, and institutions of all types meet to exchange ideas, knowledge and experiences, discuss problems and get exposed to state of the art new technologies and solutions. The Arab Water Week will provide a broad technical presentation and policy-based program, along with a specialized exhibition (The Arab Water Trade Fair) targeting water supply and wastewater vendor’s and other service providers in the water sector.
Who will attend?
ACWUA expect more than 300 participants and delegations to attend the first Arab Water Week in Amman. Many will be coming from ACWUA membership comprising of more than 200 individual members, more than 70 water and wastewater utilities from 15 Arab Countries; Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen. The Arab Water Week is also aimed at senior decision makers from public and private water and waste water utilities/water supply companies, water ministries & authorities, environmental agencies & ministries, municipalities, utility operators, private sector companies and consultants and educational institutions across the region.
Arab Water Week venue
The Arab Water Week will be convened at Le Méridien Royal Convention Center, located in the centre of Amman's Shmeisani commercial business and diplomatic district. Le Méridien Royal Convention Center is the largest facility in Amman, hosting up to 1200 guests. Offering the latest in conferencing technology, including four remote controlled projection screens, teleconference tools and multimedia projection systems. The Royal Convention Center also includes a luxurious boardroom with state of the art audio-visual equipment, nine versatile meeting rooms, and four access doors.
